New England Magic was founded in Rockport Massachusetts in 2002. We began selling magical tools, jewelry and books out of a quaint little store on Bearskin Neck. We met many great people there and quickly made a name for ourselves as a real witch shop that catered to the magical needs of our loyal customers. Some of you may remember the ocean air blowing through the shop where Joanna and her dog, Pumpkin, made everyone feel at home.

In 2004 we opened up our second location at 131-3 Essex Street in Salem Massachusetts. We worked hard to make the Salem branch our primary store and in 2008 we expanded the shop and closed the Rockport location to better focus our energies in the hub of the Massachusetts witch community.
